This course is best suited for professionals:

This course will be delivered in 12 full days, over four blocks of training within approximately a 6 month time period (subject to change). All course times will be conducted between 9am-5pm.

Professionals looking to do PSP40616 Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting require a minimum of twelve months of working experience in the Australian Government, preferably with some exposure to the government procurement process.

This course is also available to professionals who currently work in the procurement private sector who are transitioning to, or would benefit from, understanding the government procurement process.

General requirements 

All participants must have a functional level of the English language written and verbal. They must also be capable of working independently and within groups both online and in-person.

Technical requirements 

All participants must be technically competent and have access to a laptop, charger, able to connect to the internet and be able to complete assessments online from their device. To reduce waste, no hard copy reading materials will be provided on the day. If you wish to bring in any reading material, please kindly bring these with you on the day. Participants must also have access, or a license to, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Reader.

In order for participants to successfully complete PSP40616 Certificate IV in Procurement and Contacting, they must complete all of the following:

• Read all pre-reading material required for each block
• Attend all 12 training days across the four blocks
• Actively participate in all class discussions and simulated workplace scenarios
• Complete all assessment tasks inclusive of progressive learning assessments, holistic assessments and observation tasks throughout the course to a satisfactory standard
• Pay all course fees by the required due date.

Please note: This course is graded on attendance and written and physical assessments such as observation tasks, group activities, scenarios and discussions for both online and in-person learners. Therefore all online learners are required to have their cameras on throughout the duration of the course.

This qualification supports various entry level – mid level careers in Government procurement and supply chain management. It shows employers that participants have demonstrated the skills and knowledge required to work in procurement and/or contracting role in Government and can apply skills learnt on the course in a work setting. Changing delivery mode

Please note participants will not have the option to change their delivery mode option once course commences and will be expected to complete the duration of the course via the delivery method chosen during enrolment.

PSP40616 Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting has a set fee of $4995 ex GST per individual.
